 I guess you could say I took the scenic path through life, although it was far from leisurely.
Never really certain of my destiny, I excelled in school so decided to go to become a lawyer. It took only about ten grueling years of practicing law for me to realize that if I could be that successful at something I didn't really care for, I should try my hand at something I loved.
I was fortunate enough to come under the tutelage of Lia Schorr, President of the Lia Schorr Spa and Institute of Skin in New York City. Under Lia's masterful guidance, I became licensed as an esthetician, worked as such, and moved on to become an instructor.
Soon I realized that great skin involved so much more than simply great skin care, so I became certified as a Nutritional Consultant and began to recontstruct the School's curriculum to include vital information on taking care of skin from the INSIDE as well as the OUTSIDE.
Eventually, I started the Healthy Skin Shop to help people who truly want not just fabulous skin but to learn how to best take care of their most valuable assets, their bodies. True beauty is impossible without radiant health, at least in the long run.
It took several years to decide that taking care of my body included a strong mind-body-spirit link, and I became certified in both Yoga and Pilates. I feel privileged to instruct in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, and help others achieve a sense of power and control over their health and well-being.
So while I certainly did take the long road here, I have absolutely enjoyed the journey, and I learned a great deal each step of the way. It is my privilege to serve you in any way that I can.
